Mixed media paints on canvas or panel. Mainly oil paints with some other less conventional including microscopic reflective glass beads, mica powders, metal flakes and shavings and roofing tar; used for specific effects. Intense-colored under-paintings progressing through successive translucent layers to a more characteristic limited color palette. this layers as they are devolved and reworked selectively retain and expose hints of the veiled reminiscences of the early vibrancy. Often the narrowing contracts of apparent colors intensifies the "bleed through" effect of tar from which most of the darker areas are constructed.
