This medium is called Resin. I specialize in aerial ocean scenes that look like a drone shot of the ocean. The Resin is mixed with alcohol inks or acrylic paint and used to create the ocean scene or abstract pieces. Then a blowtorch is used to pop bubbles and get a glasslike finish. I use 3-5 layers in each piece, and it gives such depth! You can look down into the art and see rich color, ocean floor, fish and white lacy ocean foam. Resin is a fresh, new and very popular medium right now. Most people have a deep connection to the ocean and often buy several pieces for their homes. I also create usable art at very affordable prices. Coasters and trays are a huge hit, starting at $50. Cheese boards and domes are wonderful collectable items. Small pieces (5"x7") are framed and a favorite of teens and twenty-somethings. Paintings from very small to very large, with all kinds of usable art. There something for everyone.
