Often mistaken for a painting , my work is entirely made of cloth. My Fabric collages are created from hundreds of tiny pieces of cut cloth using my original sketches for design. The images are about the smallest moments in life that are often overlooked; ie... a cup of coffee savored, a skirt lifted by a breeze. The small pieces of fabric are layered making light, shadow and color. I choose only natural fibers; cotton and silk and utilize exclusively recycled , hand dyed and vintage materiasl. All of my work is framed.
