T Shirt Design Contest – 2025
Congratulations to our winners!
1st Place: Ian Greenwood
2nd Place: Libby Peterkort
The Kimball Art Center invites Utah-based artists to submit designs for the official 2025 Kimball Arts Festival t-shirt and merchandise. The selected designs will be screenprinted live during the festival (August 1–3, 2025) by Motherlode Printing at the intersection of Heber Avenue and Main Street. The winning artist will receive a $500 honorarium, VIP tickets to the festival, and the chance to share their unique Utah voice with over 30,000 attendees. Proceeds from merchandise sales support Kimball Art Center’s year-round arts programming.
This year, in response to so many incredible entries, we also selected a second place winner. This winner will receive $250 and their design will be printed on a limited run of merchandise at the Festival. They will also receive a complimentary Weekender pass.
2025 T-Shirt Design Contest Winners
1ST PLACE: IAN GREENWOOD
Ian Greenwood’s design, ‘The Cranemage and the Elkstronaut’ won first place in the 2025 Park City Kimball Arts Festival T-Shirt Design Competition!
Artist Statement: Ian is an illustrator artist who dwells in imagination and revels in seeing things in a different, often stranger light. His work can range from the surreal to the macabre, but he is always trying to stretch and grow in both skill and perception.
Explanation: My piece ‘The Cranemage and the Elkstronaut’ mostly involves a more whimsical interpretation of indigenous wildlife and the natural beauty we benefit from.
Honorarium: $500

2ND PLACE: LIBBY PETERKORT
Libby Peterkort’s design will be featured on a limited run of merchandise, available for puchase at the 2025 Kimball Arts Festival.
Artist Statement: Libby is a multidisciplinary artist hailing from the great Midwest. She mostly creates textile work and custom painted signs, but also dabbles in illustration, graphic design, interior design and the occasional sculptural project. Her favorite thing about making art is that it reminds her to accept imperfections and nourish the unexpected. She currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah. Libby was also the design contest winner in 2023
Design Explanation: For my second design proposal, the frame theme is still present, but I wanted to create something that focused a bit more on Park City as the festival location. The mountainscape within the elaborate frame highlights our beautiful mountain town as art in and of itself, which makes it an exceptionally special place to host this festival.
Honorarium: $250
