I recycle paint swatches to create pixilated artwork of familiar images. Each viewer sees the work differently depending on distance, eye sight and previous knowledge of the image. You can alter your focal depth by viewing my artwork through a cell phone. This changes your focal distance without taking the steps back and shocks the viewer with the clarity. This then adds the layer of how viewers consume artwork thus a social commentary. Eye sight plays a role considering people with blurry vision from nearsightedness see my work more clearly than others! Lastly experience plays a role via Gestalt psychology. The brain fills in what it is familiar with, adds details that aren't provided and blends the color pixels together.
