I have both acrylic paintings and encaustic paintings. The acrylic paintings have a heavy paint application. I'm trying to transform the reality of my subject to the playful and colorful version of it. As for the encaustic, I am pushing the wax medium to limit to what it can do. I believe that I don't use the encaustic paint like most encaustic artists. I want to use the paint in a completely different way.
