Using the Sun, two chemicals and leaves to create something simple, yet elegant I have captured a study of nature called a Cyanotype. A process of combining two chemicals to make them sensitive to UV light. This process, founded in 1842, is achieved without the use of cameras. By using leaves I have curated from my travels as stencils I create my art. The result is a one of a kind image. I aspire to instill feelings of peace through the imagery of floating leaves upon the deep indigo blue.
