Technically complex yet visually fluid our one-of-a-kind pieces are born from a collective endeavor where each piece is designed and crafted by both of us.We begin with a concept, then a series of sketches, that go back and forth, until the functional drawing emerges.The sculptural elements are hand carved and the creative connections are hand fabricated in gold, using varied metal-smithing approaches in combination with joining techniques like swallowtail and ball pivots. We set our stones using pave, prong, hammered and burnished. Every piece is touched by both artists using their specialization by combining diverse skill sets we create multifarious works. While the pieces are meticulously crafted, it is the story that drives the creation: an adventure in history, discovery and transformation, from the Bronze Age to the present and onward to the unknown.
