A husband and wife team that create traditional serigraph images without any use of digital technology or manipulation. Compelled to create work that is inspired by their own experiences with nature, they visually explore the vast and diverse American Landscape. As a collaborative team, they are invested in creating work that explores how we, as humans, interact with the natural environment. They create images that revel in the natural world. Within their artistic process, they create hand-cut rubylith stencils as the basis for shapes and forms. They also produce traditional lithographic style tonal textures by using tusche washes, Stabilo pencils, grease crayons, spray paint, and India ink. Using a wide variety of media allows the artists to push and explore the potentials of traditional serigraphy printmaking. Artist influences include the great masters of American Modernism such as Georgia O'Keeffe, Marsden Hartley, and Aaron Douglas.
